At least 16 people have been injured in a Ukrainian drone strike on the Russian city of Lgov, according to Kursk Governor Alexander Khinshtein.
He said 14 of the wounded, including two children, were being treated in hospital, with four in a serious condition.
The attack, which damaged 30 private homes, 26 apartments, two shops, and more than 20 vehicles, is one of the most significant in a recent wave of cross-border strikes.
Emergency crews have already begun repairs, including replacing shattered windows and assessing structural damage. Khinshtein posted: “Unfortunately, four of the victims are in serious condition – our doctors are doing everything to save them.”
The Russian Defence Ministry said 112 Ukrainian drones had been intercepted since 8pm on Thursday, including at least 24 shot down in Moscow Oblast.
