Princess Kate fans save £55 after designer Luna Pendant goes on sale for just £124 | Royal | News

Princess Kate appears to be a huge fan of colour and is  not shy when donning bold looks – taking after the late Queen Elizabeth II. The 42-year-old has adopted the fashion rule all the way through to her stunning jewellery collection.

However, over the past few years, she has become increasingly concious of sustainable materials when it comes to her chosen ensembles donned to represent the Royal Family. The Princess of Wales has committed herself to sustainability and even up-cycles and re-wears bespoke designs.

When it comes to accessories she supports many brands that use either recycled gold vermeil, sterling silver, or ethically sourced gemstones, diamonds, and pearls. Kate looked regal and elegant when she stepped out in a blue number back in 2022.

She was spotted in a chic V neck blazer at the 10th Anniversary Celebration of Coach Core at the Copper Box Arena. Sitting centre stage was the Astley Clarke 18ct Gold-Plated Vermeil Silver Large Luna Lapis Pendant Necklace.

If you have been bowled over by this sensational design, you can buy it now if you click on this link for just £124. You receive more than 30 percent at the retailer Liberty thanks to their flash sale.

Two years on, this item is still popular among royal fans and it features an embellished design around the stand-out gem as well as the chain.

Known as the stone of “wisdom”, Lapis Lazuli is a beautiful blue stone with timeless associations with royalty.

The designer noted: “In ancient times, Lapis was not only worn as jewellery by the pharaohs of Egypt, it was also grounded into powder and applied as makeup.”

It added: “Even Cleopatra, Queen of the Nile, was obsessed with this stone and used it to create a deep blue eyeshadow. Lapis is also known to provide enlightenment and stronger communication, connecting you to clarity, integrity, and intuition.

“It’s a powerful wear-everywhere stone, and if you haven’t guessed by now, it’s a Kate Middleton favourite.”

Kate has long had a penchant for blue, from her sharply tailored navy suits to flowing, silk summer dresses in aquamarine.

Even her engagement ring, which was the late Princess Diana’s, boasts a similar colour – although the dazzling sapphire sparkler is estimated to be worth around £520,000.

This stone has been traditionally associated with royals for generations – with Queen Elizabeth even being a huge fan of the colour.

So, it’s natural to see hints of the hue popping up in Princess Kate’s favourite jewels, such as this necklace.
