My favourite Apple Watch gets a rare price cut thanks to Black Friday sale

If you want the very best Apple Watch money can buy then the Ultra 2 should be right at the top of your wishlist. This premium device gets a tough Titanium design, super bright OLED Always‑On Retina display and exclusive features such as an in-built alarm and Action Button which launches your favourites with just one tap.

Another bonus of buying of the Watch Ultra 2 is that it has a much longer battery life than the standard models meaning less time charging and more time wearing it.

Although the Watch Ultra 2 didn’t get a big overhaul this year, the US technology giant did release a new Black model, and it has quickly become my go-to wearable.

Along with its striking new appearance, that bigger display, tough Titanium shell, longer battery life and bonus features make it my top choice to have strapped to my wrist.

The only downside is the price, with Apple wanting £799 to own the Watch Ultra 2. Ouch!

Luckily, it’s Black Friday and there are plenty of decent discounts including money off the latest Ultra 2 in Black. Very, Argos and John Lewis have all slashed the price down to £769 which is a £30 saving off the usual cost from Apple.

It’s not a massive discount, but it’s incredibly rare to see such a new device get that kind of reduction.

If that sounds like too much for your bank balance to cope with, there are other deals, including money off the Apple Watch SE, which is now under £180.

To rival Apple, Samsung has also cut the cost of its Watch Ultra by £100 with means you can now strap that rugged device to your arm for under £500.

Just like the Apple Watch Ultra, the Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra offers a tougher Aerospace-grade titanium case and can survive more extreme environments.

There is also up to 100 hours of battery life, it can monitor your health and be taken to deeper depth underwater without fear of a soggy screen.
