January 27 2012 Bangladesh (Bdnews.com):
Main opposition leader and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia has called a mass procession in the capital on Sunday. Khaleda Zia will lead the procession.
The procession will start from BNP’s Naya Paltan central office premise and will end at Banglamotor after parading thoroughfares at Shantinagar, Malibagh and Moghbazar.
Earlier the opposition leader from a huge rally in Chittagong had declared the mass procession for January 29 across the country to mount pressure on the government for reinstatement of caretaker government system.
The system has been abolished through the fifteenth amendment to the constitution last year but since then the main opposition party has been saying that no election will be allowed in the country without caretaker government.
Leaders, workers and supporters are expected to join the event come from all units in the city and Dhaka district. Even people will come from adjacent districts to make the programme a success, said party leaders.
